Biography
Leah Hidalgo is a Toronto-based multimedia film composer and arranger who brings stories to life through music. From her first scoring assignment in college, she was captivated by the transformative power of music in storytelling. With her natural ability to integrate emotional expression through sound, she creates scores that enhance the heart and soul of every project.
Her recent credits include Feeling the Apocalypse (2022), End of the Line (2023), and Wanderlust (2024), which have premiered at multiple film festivals worldwide. Her score for End of the Line earned a nomination for Best Original Score at the Independent Horror Film Festival.
Leah graduated with high honours from Sheridan College’s Music Scoring for Screen and Stage Graduate Program, where she honed her skills in composing for film, documentaries, animation, and video games. She is currently furthering her education at Berklee College of Music, pursuing a degree in Music Composition for Film, TV, and Games. Passionate about animated fantasy, she composes original music for animated companies Gigglebox and Team Kyoshi.
Leah values the collaborative process, recognizing that the people behind each project are just as important as the work itself. She thrives in creative environments built on trust, authenticity, and connection, ensuring that every project is not only delivered efficiently and on time, but is also an inspiring and enjoyable experience. Her ultimate goal is to translate each story’s vision into a powerful and lasting emotional experience through music.
